Yin x Sound Meditation with Sam W.

  • Yoga Space New York 738 Manhattan Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11222 United States (map)

Your edges aren’t limitations. They’re thresholds.

Through a series of long-held, prop-heavy postures cradled by transcendent sound, you’ll be invited into a deep, receptive state as you find your edges, or perceived limitations, and feel them begin to move.

Yin yoga builds a quiet heat in the body, unwinding the places where tension and stagnant energy settle. Sound creates a field of resonance that moves through muscle, fascia and bone, and then further, into breath, nervous system and the subtler currents of the mind. Edges that once felt fixed begin to soften, guiding you into attunement with your lightest, most liberated form.

Expect a deep and juicy metamorphosis and walk away with a reinspired relationship to yourself.

About Sam: Sam Wilensky is a teacher of yin yoga, yoga nidrā, meditation and sound, and a lifelong student of the art of moving slowly and listening deeply.

She brings a decade of teaching and over 1,000 hours of training to the room, along with years of devotion to Tibetan Buddhist study that quietly shapes everything she teaches and lives by. Her work is born from the steady conviction that softening is a practice and ease can change us as much as effort ever could.

Sam’s classes pair long, supported holds with the resonance of sound and music, giving the body time and the nervous system a foundation for softening. She teaches with precision and play, guided by the inquiry: who do we become when we’re completely at ease?
