The curriculum includes:
HIIT Methodology: Discover the highly effective workout style that builds muscular endurance, improves cardiovascular health, and strengthens the core.
Teaching Techniques and Skills: Focused guidance on how to teach clear, confident classes. Students practice effective cueing, skillful sequencing, and demonstrating alignment with precision.
Anatomy and Body Mechanics: A practical understanding of how the body moves and how pilates supports functional strength, mobility, and balance.
Pilates Repretoire: Exploration of key classical pilates exercises and modifications, including a brief background on Joseph Pilates and a strong emphasis on alignment.
Strength & Cardio: Learn how to teach low-impact movements that build strength, improve cardiovascular health, and heighten mind-body awareness. Students will understand how to safely integrate the use of props like weights, resistance bands, and blocks to add more challenge to their classes.
Class Sequencing: Understand how to effectively sequence a HIIT Pilates class from beginning to end that works the whole body. HIIT Pilates classes start simple and grow in complexity throughout the workout - building towards compound movements and cardio that activate every key muscle group.

This training asks for your full presence, curiosity, and willingness to engage. It’s a deeply experiential program that invites you to show up wholeheartedly for yourself, your peers, and your growth. You’ll be asked to participate in discussions, teach, practice, reflect, and support others as they do the same. The more consistent your presence and energy, the more you’ll gain from the experience. To graduate trainees must complete:

Many trainees join the program simply to deepen their own pilates practice, to become more confident speakers, or to find community. You don’t need to plan on teaching professionally to benefit from this training. That said, learning to teach is an important part of the curriculum and one of the most powerful ways to embody what you’re learning. Guiding others helps you find your voice, refine your understanding, and build confidence in your own practice. Even if you never plan to lead a public class, you’ll leave with skills that enrich how you communicate, hold space, and connect with others in every part of your life.
-
All in-person sessions, including Friday nights and weekend days, will take place in our Greenpoint location at 738 Manhattan Avenue in Brooklyn.
-
We expect to have around 15-20 students in the cohort. We have a maximum class size of 25.
You’ll also become part of a dedicated community of trainees and teachers who learn, practice, and evolve together. The friendships and shared experiences formed within the cohort often become one of the most meaningful aspects of the journey.
-
Not necessarily. This training is designed for students of all levels. However, we do recommend having taken at least 10 HIIT Pilates (or similar) classes so you are familiar with the movement patterns of a HIIT class. Teaching high-energy classes like HIIT Pilates also requires your own energy. Taking 3-5 active classes a week leading up to the training will help build the stamina needed to show up energetically for your students while you lead class. What matters most is a genuine interest in learning and a willingness to grow!
-
Yes, absolutely. This training is designed to fit within a working schedule.
Sessions take place on weekends (Friday evenings, and full days on Saturday and Sunday).
